STORIES & CONVERSATIONS FOR A SUSTAINABLE LIMERICK
28th March - Urban Co-op - 19.30 - 21.30
A short scene setting presentation from Davie Philip from Cultivate will outline new trends for sustainable communities in the context of climate action and the Sustainable Development Goals.
After this introduction, 5 or 6 local community champions will give a short presentation on their projects with a focus on collaboration and partnership. A facilitated ‘café conversation’ will then be hosted to explore common ground and increased cooperation. The outcomes from these small group conversations are brought together in a final session of the event that shares the ideas generated before closing.
The civic dialogue session uses a Conversation Café format, a small group process that Cultivate successfully use to help to engage communities around matters of concern to them. Throughout the session the capacity of local groups will be developed to utilise this collaborative facilitation process in their own meetings and events to ensure a high level of participation and involvement in their initiatives.
These free workshops are for people involved in community projects, environmental protection, the local economy, tidy towns or any initiative that contributes to a more sustainable limerick.
