New Home!

Tomorrow sees the Urban Co-op open in a  new premises in Limerick! Its been a busy few weeks making the transition from our site in Mulgrave St but we think you will agree this is an exciting development in the growth of the Urban Co-op. We have moved to Tait House on Roxboro Rd! Enterprise development is a key motivation of this setting and we are excited to note the future plans at Tait House to redevelop the walled garden of the former estate to create what will be known as the Urban Farm ( are you seeing the link?)
We will keep you posted on the progress! Meanwhile we are keen to establish ourselves in this new home and look forward to welcoming you as a customer at the Co-op.

It's been a long time coming but our cafe is finally here! There have been lots of changes in the shop in the last few months - new staff, new furniture, a snazzy Gaggia coffee machine to name just a few! To get the most from the co-op cafe, we have extended our opening hours hugely! We are now open Wednesday to Friday from 9 to 6 and on Saturdays from 9 to 5. So there's no excuse not to do your shopping at your local urban co-op! And why not have a coffee while you're there! We also do take-away coffees and teas. And don't forget - lots of free parking!!

"Being Part of a Co-Op Means... A Great Multi-National Community!"

While you enjoy your Co-Operative Coffee break this week take a look at another of our "Being Part of a Co-Op Means..." series. For Jose Serres being a member of The Urban Co-Op is about being part of a great multi-national community. He likes the people, the atmosphere and being a member of The Urban Co-Op and such a great initiative.

Our Co-Operative means many things to many people and for both Lorraine and Áine being part of the co-op is about supporting local businesses and local produce. It's also important for them to know where their food comes from.
