This week we have two excellent talks. On Thursday Eleanor, (a regular co-op volunteer) will tell her story of how real food is aiding her family recover from the effects of Autism. This is a story of gritty realism, resilience and hope that will resonate with parents. Thursday 15th November, 7.00pm at the Co-op.
On Saturday 17th November, Mimi Crawford will bring us her talk "The role Irish pasture can play in mitigating climate change". Mimi Crawford runs Crawford's Farm in Cloughjordan with her husband Owen. It is a small certified organic farm, operating a diverse, holistic farming system integrating environmental stewardship with humane animal husbandry to produce healthy soil and pastures, wholesome grains and the highest quality meat and rich raw cow's milk. This will be a very interesting discussion!
