Our timeline reminds us how far we have come in the last decade. What an achievement! From the crisis of 2009 where many jobs were impacted by the departure of Dell the spark that ignited the idea of The Urban Co-op took hold.
It is time to look to the horizon! Building a community grocery into a sustainable food system allows us to create a platform for many exciting initiatives including the Wellness Hub. Our focus is to help our community to thrive.

Fulfilling the dream of the Founders to become an Urban Co-operative by changing the legal framework of the enterprise from CLG to a registered Co-operative is proposed as a strategic way forward to ensuring sustainability into the future in these turbulent times. This means the co-operative will be collectively OWNED by the members. In a time of uncertainty the opportunity to build and secure our community is one we enthusiastically embrace! Bring it on!
