Our Future Plans
It is time to look to the horizon! Our goal is to create a one-stop community wellness hub - including education spaces. Our original plan to include a demonstration kitchen onsite has been paused as we have grown to cater for the extra demand for therapy services post Covid. We want to broaden our range of classes available and open up the co-op to even more people. Education is one of the core co-operative principles and therefore high on our agenda! The social enterprise aspect of our business is increasingly acknowledged and brings many opportunities going forward for networking and collaboration. Being part of the new Social Enterprise Limerick Network is important to us.
Building a community grocery into a sustainable food system allows us to create a platform for many exciting initiatives including the Wellness Hub. Our focus is to help our community to thrive. Themes of Cook, Connect, Contribute, Cope shape our direction.
Fulfilling the dream of the Founders to become an Urban Co-operative by changing the legal framework of the enterprise from CLG to a registered Co-operative is proposed as a strategic way forward to ensuring sustainability into the future in these turbulent times.
